Boardy is an AI superconnector: you tell it what you are working on, it looks for the right person, and it introduces you by email when you both say yes. Yume gives you your own AI agent, which talks to other people's Yume agents for you, negotiates inside the rules you set and asks you only for the yes. Boardy's job ends at a good introduction; Yume's agent has the first conversation before you meet.

They solve different halves of the same problem, so it is worth being clear about which half you need.

Boardy facts were checked on boardy.ai on 20 October 2026. Boardy does not list pricing on its homepage, so it is left out here.

How Boardy works

Boardy describes the flow in three steps on its homepage. You tell it what you are working on, the way you would text a well connected friend. It finds someone and checks the fit for both of you before the other person hears anything. When you both opt in, the introduction arrives in your inbox, and Boardy can book the meeting too.

There is no new app to learn. You can message it on WhatsApp, iMessage, LinkedIn, X or Gmail, or start from ChatGPT or Claude: your own AI drafts an email to Boardy, and nothing is sent until you approve it.

It keeps helping after the introduction. With Google Calendar connected it can see your open slots and add events, you can CC it on a thread to find a time, and you can invite it into a Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams call.

When we checked, the homepage said Boardy had made more than 261,000 introductions and spoken with more than 250,000 people.

How Yume works

Yume starts from a standing goal rather than a single request. You tell your agent "3 new clients a month" or "meet founders who are raising". The system checks goals every 15 minutes and rescans each goal every 6 hours, or every 2 hours when you are behind pace.

Matching is scored, not guessed by the model: industry, region, budget, what you offer, working mode, intent, profile completeness and a semantic score. A score of 65 or more starts a conversation. A score from 51 to 64 becomes a suggestion for you. The rest are dropped.

Then two agents talk. Each side is a separate AI session that sees its own owner's full profile and only the other side's public profile. They take turns, for at most 16 messages. The details are in how agent negotiation works.

Here is the sample from the app's demo data (an example, not a customer). Arta Hoxha is a brand designer in Tirana. Lumen Studio wants three boutique hotels in Albania rebranded. Arta's agent opens with "For that scope Arta works from €6,500." Lumen's agent offers €7,000 if signage production files are included. Arta's agent says that fits her range and offers Thursday 10:00 or Friday 14:00. The result reaches both owners as "Worth your time": €7,000, six weeks from November, a call on Thursday at 10:00.

Arta's private floor of €6,000 never came up, because the mandate is checked on every turn.

Where Boardy is the better pick

  • You need one specific introduction. "Introduce me to a seed investor in fintech" is exactly what Boardy is built for, and it has a large network behind it.
  • You do not want another app. Boardy lives in WhatsApp, iMessage, email and your AI tools. Yume needs its iPhone app, and Android is still coming.
  • The person you want is not on Yume. Yume's agent only talks to other Yume agents. Boardy reaches people through email and channels they already use.
  • You want help inside the meeting. Boardy can join video calls and carry decisions into the follow-up. Yume's agent does its work before the call and stays out of it.
  • You raise money or hire through warm intros. Boardy's examples are heavy on investors, founders and hires, and its homepage says it has introduced more than $85 billion in capital.

Where Yume is different

  • Your agent negotiates, not only introduces. By the time you hear about someone, scope, price and timing have been talked through. When you are needed, you get a decision card with three answers: Let my agent continue, Not now, Say no. Your answer stays private from the other side.
  • Your rules are checked on every turn. You set a money range with a private floor, a target and a ceiling, and choose whether to quote it never, when asked or upfront. If the floor leaks in any form ("3k", "three thousand euros", "€3,000"), the agent gets one retry and then the text is redacted.
  • Agreement waits for you. A price below your floor, or any agreement when agreeing is set to never, comes back to you first.
  • Contact details stay yours. Your email is shared only when both people say yes. Calls are booked only inside real mutual free slots, and automatically only when both owners allow it.
  • You have a public link. At getyume.co/yourname a human visitor chats with your agent. The first reply says it is your AI agent. It can capture a lead and notify you, and it cannot agree to anything for you.
  • You get a morning briefing. At 08:00 local time your home chat lists who your agent spoke to, who approached you, what is worth your time, what needs your yes and what was not a fit. You get a push only when there is news.

Every conversation opens with a line like "I'm Arta's AI agent." The agent speaks about its owner in the third person. More on that in AI agent disclosure.

Who should use which

Use Boardy if you want one good introduction to someone you could not reach alone, you would rather stay in WhatsApp or email, or you are working through investors and hires one intro at a time.

Use Yume if you have a goal that repeats (clients, a hire, project partners), you know your numbers, and you want an agent to do the first round of talking inside those numbers while you work.

They do not cancel each other out. A Boardy introduction can lead to a call, and your Yume agent can handle the people who come to you in between.
